Fred Wallin, 89, of Powderly, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 23, 2018, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Brown officiating. Burial will be at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday morning.
Fred was born on August 15, 1928, in Saint Charles, Michigan a son of Joseph and Alice Wallin. He was retired, after 29 years, as the Battalion Chief for the City of Dallas Fire Department.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Wallin, brother, Joseph Wallin and sisters, Marlene Rourke and Mary Neitling.
He is survived by his sister, Matilda Henninger and several nieces and nephews.
