Roy Dean Beassie, 89, of Powderly, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at Legend Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31st, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. David Smith officiating and Micah Allen serving as eulogist. Burial will be made in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Beassie, the son of Mack Joseph & Viola Sanderson Beassie, was born July 6, 1929, in Louann, AR. His career as an auto mechanic and service manager spanned many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mitchell Joseph Beassie, five sisters; Pauline “Aunt Sister” Henry, Rosie Henry, Aliene Smith, Marvin Dean Beassie, Zackie Ward and Rumse Bounds and a brother, Marvin Dean Beassie.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Marie Beassie, children; Fadelia Perkins & husband Herman of OK, Rocky Dean Beassie & wife Sharon of Powderly, Michael Jerome Beassie & wife Pam of MS, and Vicki L. Miller of Lake Charles, LA, a brother, James A. Beassie & wife Elsie of Hineston, LA, eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be: Spencer Smith, Ethan Bonsall, Herman Perkins, Zeb Beassie, Dean Beassie and Mitchell Beassie.
