Ronnie Lee Preston, 74, of Paris, passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at his home.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Miller and Dr. Michael Flatt officiating. Burial will be made in Lake Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Ronnie, the son of Lee Roy Preston and Doris June Jones Preston, was born Feb. 28, 1952, in Ft. Worth, TX.
He graduated from Delmar High School and joined the National Guard where he was a Combat Engineer with the 49th Armored Division. Ronnie became a dairyman and owned and operated his dairy for a number of years. In the 80’s he became a truck driver for almost 40 years before beginning a career at Campbell Soup Company where he retired in February of 2026. He was a member of First Baptist Church Deport.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 25 years, Linda Kay Preston on Sept. 25, 2025, and a nephew, Jason Miller.
Survivors include two sons, Jory Preston and wife Maria and Toby Preston and wife Crystal, four step-children, Stacy Eatherly, Chad Graham and wife Ingrid, Dale Williams and wife Laurie, and Tim Parks and wife Daria, grandchildren, Lacie Preston, Brandon Brewer and wife Erin, Elizabeth Preston, Kyle Eatherly and wife Jennifer, Paulina Patino, Haley Williams, Alexis Elliott and husband Allen, Brittany McNeal, Megan Brown and husband Micah, and Alyssa Beck and husband Braxton, 13 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Brenda Miller and husband Joe and Gayla Jeffery and husband Kelly along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Jory Preston, Toby Preston, Chad Graham, Brandon Brewer, Kyle Eatherly, Eric Miller, Dale Williams, and Tim Parks.
