Rex Eugene Bridgers, 81 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
Funeral services have been set for Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. John Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
He was born on May 18, 1936, in Big Cedar, Oklahoma to George and Marie Dobbs Bridgers. He married Shirley Jewel Bowden on June 4, 1955. Rex was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Paul Bridgers, Mark Bridgers and wife Nicki, Terry Bridgers and wife Mary, Gary Bridgers and wife Tammy; a granddaughter whom he raised as a daughter, April Bridgers McLaughlin; grandchildren, David Bridgers, Jr., Zachary Bridgers, Brian Bridgers, Brandon Bridgers, Sabrina Bridgers, Colin Bridgers, Peyton Bridgers, James Bridgers, Bradley Bridgers, Justin Bridgers, Johnathan Bridgers and Madison Bridgers; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Jordan, Memphis, Savannah, Katelynn, Aiden, Elizabeth, Rex and Conway Bridgers, Owen McLaughlin; sister, Lula May Powell daughter-in-law, Sharon Bridgers.
He was preceded in death by his wife; children, David Bridgers, Jeffrey Paul Bridgers; sister, Bonnie Marie Bridgers; brothers, Charlie “C.R.” Bridgers, Odis Bridgers
Serving as Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
