Ersell Virginia Croy, 81, of Paris, passed away at her home, May 4, 2018.
Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, May 7, 2018, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service.
Mrs. Croy, the daughter of William Davenport and Willie Thoms Davenport was born April 5, 1937, in Lamar County. Mrs. Croy retired from Hollywood Vasserette, after 25 years and was a caregiver, in the Dallas area, to many people. She loved gardening and working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Sammy Lee Croy, who passed away March 8, 2018, after building sixty-three years of family and memories and a sister, Daisy Hope. Survivors include her three children, Rickey Lee Croy & wife Kim of Paris, Donnie Wayne Croy & wife Tami of Blossom and Virginia Alvarez & husband Carmelo; six grandchildren, Christopher Croy, Matthew Croy, Gina Vaughn, Brittney Dyson, Angela DeLaRosa, and Brandon Alvarez; five great-grandchildren, Elexis Vaughn, Lane Vaughn, Phoenix Wynn, Zayden Ledesma, Adaliná Rose Denise Alvarez and Kholten Ledesma; two sisters, Dorothy St. John and Agnes Garrett along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
