Reno’s Summer Celebration, set for Saturday, June 26, will feature not just a hamburger cooking contest, but also a showcase of Reno’s fireworks show just after sundown.
Beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Reno’s Summer Celebration will have vendors, bounce houses, water slides. From 4-6 p.m., there will be an American Pride Wrestling. At 5 p.m., they will judge the hamburger cook-off, and contest winners will be announced at 5:30 p.m.
Starting at 6 p.m., burgers will go on sale to the public – which will benefit Reno Volunteer Fire Department.
From 5-8 p.m., there will be face painting available. And live music by Mix Society will be from 6-9 p.m.
The night will finish off with Reno’s firework show.
“The festival will come to an explosive conclusion with an incredible display, courtesy of Reno Fireworks,” Reno Parks and Trail Committee posted on its social media. “A special guest DJ will play patriotic tunes as the fireworks burst and shimmer over the park in an impressive show of lights.”
The day of celebration, featuring Reno’s firework show, will be at Reno Kiwanis Park, and parking will be available at 6800 Pine Mill Road, 450 Anderson Road and Canaanland Church of God, 7055 Lamar Road.
The day-filled festival is free to the public.
