Sign ups for Reno’s Fourth Annual Fright Fight House Decorating Contest have begun.
“It’s that time of year and we are so excited,” Reno Parks and Trail Committee shared. “We have added a SPOOKTACULAR TWIST! Instead of separate judging for Reno and Blossom, everyone will compete for the four categories!”
The winner of the People’s Choice Award will receive a $100 CASH PRIZE OF (donated by Dave and Amanda Willows). For the remaining categories, Melissa Gordon has donated Gift certificates valued at $25 to Weezy’s, Bratcher’s Nursery & Landscaping LLC, and Crazy House Western Wear.
David Crossland/Afterlife Haunt is also donating free tickets to Afterlife Haunt to the Annual Fright Fight House Decorating Contest winners. All winners will receive the brag signs to display, donated by Afterlife Haunt.
FRIGHT FIGHT RULES:
🎃 To be eligible for prizes, you must sign up no later than midnight on Oct. 15. Anyone signing up after that date can still be added to our Fright Fight map but will not be eligible for prizes. There is no entry fee.
🎃 Your home must be in Reno or Blossom (or in between).
🎃 Judging will begin at dark on Oct. 21. Winners will be announced at Reno’s Monster Mash Halloween Festival at Reno Kiwanis Park, Oct. 29, at 3:30 p.m.
🎃All decorations must be visible at night from the roadway. Viewers are instructed to remain in their vehicles. THE ORGANIZERS OF THIS CONTEST ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGED OR STOLEN DISPLAYS.
🎃 This contest is a fun event for the community. Inappropriate or derogatory signage, including political statements of any kind, extreme gore, or adult themes will NOT be permitted in this contest. Your entry will be disqualified and removed from voting.
🎃Participants agree to have their address added to the FRIGHT FIGHT map and photos of their decorated homes posted on the Fright Fight-related pages (Reno Parks and Trail, Greater Blossom Development Association, Afterlife Haunt).
