The Bonham Public Library is now offering circulating wireless hotspots that will allow customers to connect their devices (Computer/Tablet/Game Devices) wirelessly to the internet without using a home Internet connection.

The internet is a huge part of most people’s lives. Now, the Bonham Public Library system is helping patrons get internet access for free with their new WIFI TO GO Service.

The library now has 3 mobile hotspots and three tablets with built-in wifi that can be checked out for one week. The hotspots include a plastic tub, charger and instruction sheet.

The tablets provide digital devices with high-speed internet connectivity for patrons who don’t have a device or internet connectivity at home. The tablets include a case, instructions, and charger and cord.

The hotspots can also be used to browse the library catalog, place library books on hold or download library digital media such as magazines and audiobooks.

Anyone with a Bonham Public Library card can check out the mobile hotspots and tablet for free. Patrons must be in good standing with the library, with a current address on file and no fines above $10

What is a mobile hotspot? The devices use T-Mobile’s wireless network to provide Internet access to our customers. Individual devices can connect wirelessly to the hotspot and get directly on the internet. Most devices have a wireless card that will allow them to connect to a wireless hotspot.

All three Hot Spots and two tablets have unlimited data and one tablet has 2mgb of data.

Coverage not available in some areas.
