A murder warrant has been issued for a suspect connected to Monday night’s homicide case in Ladonia.
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, Ladonia Police was dispatched to a shots fired call in the Texoma Housing Authority complex, and when officers arrived, 48-year-old JC Campbell suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities considered Campbell dead at the scene.
Officials said Campbell was on his pickup’s tailgate when Justin Marquiwis Cuba, the suspect, approached him. Witnesses on scene said the two had a short dispute, before the suspect shot Campbell several times.
Police and Texas Rangers are actively searching for Campbell’s killer.
