On Feb,. 12, Officers arrested Justin Markeith Garnes (38) for an outstanding Parole warrant in the 3900 block of N. Main. He was taken into custody without incident and transferred to Lamar County.
On Feb. 12, Officers responded to the 1600 block of W. Campbell reference to a Burglary of Residence. The victim reported that subjects had taken assorted power tools and building materials (wiring) from the residence without permission. A witness advised that they had observed two subjects leaving the area on February the 11th under suspicious circumstances and had spoken with them. Officers collected evidence at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
On Feb. 12, Officers were notified of an armed robbery occurring in the 600 block of W. Kaufman. The victim, who was delivering a food order, was taking an order to an address in the area when he was confronted by the suspect who displayed a firearm and demanded the food and the victim’s cash. The victim turned over all requested items to the suspect. The suspect then left the area on foot headed South on SW 3rd. The victim went to the initial address of the order and was told no food had been ordered from there. Officers spoke with the victim and took all information for a report. The incident is open and continues.
Officers made 17 traffic stops, 3 adult arrest, and answered 106 calls for service for this reporting period.
