One of Paris’ biggest events all year is undoubtedly the ‘Tour de Paris’ however, sadly due to the coronavirus pandemic the event has been moved to Sept. 26.
Originally scheduled for July 18, organizers said most all of the big biking events have been canceled or postponed during the time of uncertainty.
“We didn’t want to lose this event and pushing it out later hopefully will be better for everyone,” said Lamar County Chamber of Commerce president Paul Allen. “Though the event, of course, is outside, the 650 volunteers that make this event successful running rest stops and registration had to be thought of as well. We will just have to wait a little longer.”
The month of September will now host three of the biggest events in Paris of the year; the TMBRA, Trail Racing Across Texas-NETT, and now the Tour de Paris.
