Paris police responded to a burglary of a business in the 100 block of SW 2nd St at 10:52 a.m. Saturday, March 28. It was reported that someone had broken the glass out of the front door to gain entry. The owner advised that he could only find a couple of things missing. The incident is under investigation.
On Sunday, March 29, at 4:37 a.m. Paris police responded to the 1400 block of W Henderson St in reference to an assault. It was reported that 27-year old Cody Allen Moore, of Paris, had kicked in the front door to the residence and then proceeded to assault a 51-year old male. The victim was transported by ambulance to PRMC for facial trauma. Moore was placed under arrest and charged with burglary of a habitation. He was later transferred to the Lamar County jail.
Paris Police responded to 234 calls for service, and arrested four people over the weekend ending at midnight on March 29, 2020.
