Paris police responded to a burglary of a motor vehicle in the 200 block of Stone Ave at 7:28 a.m. on July 15. Once on the scene, officers located 11 other vehicles that had been burglarized. The department is continuing to investigate.
Later that morning at 8:38 a.m., Paris police spoke with a victim of a fraud. The victim who owns an online clothing store reported to officers that her account had been hacked. The hacker had then charged over $40,000 worth of merchandise to her linking account. The incident is still under investigation.
Paris police responded to an aggravated assault in the 10 block of W Washington St at 11:08 a.m. that same day. The victim reported to officers that he and a relative had an argument about a week ago. He then reported that the relative showed up on this day at his home producing a knife and proceeded to threaten him. The victim was not injured in the altercation and the investigation continues.
At 2:49 p.m. on July 15, Paris police responded to a burglary of a residence in the 300 block of NE 28th St. It was reported to officers that the owner left the residence around 5:00 p.m. the day before, and upon returning on this day, found that someone had entered the home. The owner reported two stolen saws and two stolen boxes of flooring. The stolen items were valued at $895.00. Paris police are continuing to investigate.
