The Paris Police Accident Reconstruction Team are actively investigating a major collision that was reported at 5:44 a.m. on Sept. 29, 2023, in the 3900 block of Lamar Avenue.
Police say an unknown white male, appearing to be in his fifties, was struck by an unknown hit and run vehicle, believed to be between a 2006 to 2010 year model, gray in color, Hyundai Sonata.
The Sonata will have right front and possibly right rear damage. The collision occurred in the area of the entrance-exit driveway of Applebee’s.
“We did not have the identity of the victim, suspect or the suspect vehicle,” said police. “We need help in identifying the victim. We know he is a white male, maybe fifties. He was well dressed, wearing nice jeans, a shirt with a jacket over it, a white or light-gray ball cap, brown dress shoes and had a Dodge key in his pocket; but no Identification.”
