Spectators at the Bonham Festival of Flight are in for a treat this weekend with over half a dozen spectacular planes set to thrill the crowds.
Gates will open at the annual event, held at Jones Field, at 10 a.m. with the airshow starting at noon and concluding at 3:30 p.m.
Admission to the event is free and parking is $5 per car. No coolers or animals are allowed at the event (service animals are allowed). There will be vendors selling food and drinks at the airshow.
The current lineup of performers are:
Kate Kyer Aerobatics, who will rip up the sky in her red and white Pitts S-2B. You’ll be amazed at what Kate can do with her aerial hotrod!
Falcon Flight Formation Team, who will perform with up to eight aircraft flying tight formation in their quick and nimble Vans RVs!
Greg Shetterly will yank, bank, loop, and roll his cool red and white One Design aerobatic aircraft over Jones Field!
Steve Afeman and Carl Best will thrill the crowd with the sound and performance of their 600 horsepower World War II AT-6/SNJ Texan warbirds flying tight aerobatic formation over Jones Field!
Curt Richmond Airshows will have you in awe as he puts his Pitts S-2B through its paces leaving smoke trails across the blue autumn sky!
Russell Armstrong and Rick Boone will buzz Jones Field in their ex-Soviet Union L-39 jet trainers. Come and see these Cold War warriors up close on the tarmac before the airshow.
