Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 8:04am; Paris PD received a “hit” notification that a Lamar County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was out with a Ruger rifle that had been reported stolen to Paris PD in February 2017 from the 100 block of SW 45th Street
during a Burglary of a Habitation. A Detective with Paris Criminal Investigations will follow-up investigating.
Monday, October 28, 2024, at 9:56am; a Paris Officer was in the 100 block of N.W. 11th Street when he recognized two males standing next to the roadway and had knowledge that both had active warrants. 38-Year-Old Jeremy Dewayne Humphrey was arrested and booked on Felony Lamar County Warrant Possession of a Controlled Substance. The other male was arrested and booked on two Class “C” warrants from Paris Municipal Court for Entering Dangerous Building and Fail to Appear.
Monday, October 28, 2024, at 1:00pm; a Felony Theft from Person report was taken after a victim in the 500 block of NE 17th Street stated that a known male, who her husband had been friends with, in the past, arrived at their residence in a
truck. She leaned into the driver’s side of his truck to inquire what he wanted, as she was holding $30 in her hand that she was planning to buy groceries with. The male snatched the $30 from her hand and then drove away from the scene.
Monday, October 28, 2024, Paris Police Department responded to 62 Calls for Service, made 3 Adult Arrest and Initiated 12 Traffic Stops.
