Monday, September 30, 2024; Officers responded to an assault in the 1800 block of NE Loop 286. While at the scene they came in contact with Damian Jace Friesen (18). It was discovered that Friesen had an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance issued from Lamar County. Friesen was taken into custody without incident.
Monday, September 30, 2024; An officer received a suspicious person call in the 1700 block of Pine Bluff. A subject had entered the public restroom and would not come out. Upon arrival the officer entered the unlocked restroom and made contact with Dejuante Tavil Terrell (27) who was observed to be in possession of a syringe containing what tested to be a controlled substance. Terrell was also found to be in an intoxicated state, apparently from the contents of the syringe. Testing confirmed the syringe contained Fentanyl, a controlled substance. Terrell was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Public Intoxication.
Monday, September 30, 2024; Officers of the NE Texas Auto Theft Task Force were conducting a Repair Shop Inspection in Greenville Texas when they discovered several pieces of stolen equipment at the location. Officers recovered a John Deere Tractor and Rotary Mower stolen from San Patricio County in 2017 and a Bobcat Skid Steer which had been stolen in 2020 from a location in Dallas Texas. All equipment was taken into evidence and the reporting agencies were notified. The investigation will continue.
Monday, September 30, 2024; Officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Lamar Avenue. The contacted a victim who advised she had been assaulted by several subjects at a residence that she had been visiting. The victim stated she had been punched by several people from the residence and that her vehicle had sustained considerable damage from the same subjects. Officers noted that The victim’s vehicle had been scratched and apparently kicked by suspects as there were shoe prints on numerous areas of the vehicle body. The victim left the scene and the incident is under investigation.
Officers made 8 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 123 calls for service for this reporting period.
