On Nov. 6, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of N. Main Street for an equipment violation. As the vehicle was about to stop the officer observed the driver throw some item out the window. Upon approach, the vehicle and driver, identified as Colton Ray Mulens (26), smelled of marijuana. The vehicle was searched for further weapons or narcotics. More marijuana residue was located as well as several pills of narcotics, which Mulens denied were his. Mulens was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked without incident.
On Nov. 6, A complainant reported a theft of a vehicle in the 2600 block of N. Main. The vehicle was left parked at a residence there with the key inside the vehicle, which had a broken rear window. This made it impossible to secure the vehicle. The vehicle was taken by an unknown person at approximately 1600 hours. The vehicle, a grey 2018 Nissan Sentra, was listed as stolen in state and national databases. The investigation will continue. Auto Theft personnel were notified of the theft.
