Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 1:09pm; a Paris Officer responded to the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue to a shoplifting call and arrested 46-year-old Robert Alan Gunn. Gun had concealed $41.66 worth of items; including snacks, game cards and flashlights. He had walked past all points to pay. Due to Gunn’s criminal history revealing two prior theft convictions, Gunn was booked into the Paris Jail for State Jail Felony Theft of Property <$2,500 2/More Previous Convictions.
Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 2:34pm; a Felony Theft Property report was taken in the 1500 block of Clarksville Street, relating to $13,000 cash being stolen from a business. The incident will be further investigated.
Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 2:39pm; While patrolling in the 2500 block of Bonham Street, a Paris Officer observed a white male flagging him down and made contact with 53- year-old Donny Wayne Elam of Brookston. Elam told the officer that he had an outstanding parole warrant and wanted to turn himself in. Dispatch confirmed the warrant, and Elam was placed under arrest for Felony Parole Violation and booked into the Paris Jail.
Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 3:53pm; a traffic stop was initiated by a Paris Officer in the 600 block of Bonham Street for an expired registration violation on a gold Equinox, with three occupants. All three occupants had outstanding warrants. Driver, 48- year-old Raymond Lee Scott of Ladonia was taken into custody for a Felony Parole Violation Warrant- Aggravated Robbery. The other two subjects were also arrested and booked into the Paris Jail on Class “C” violation warrants.
Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 8:23pm; an Assault was reported in the 400 block of NE 14th Street. The victim stated that his baby’s mother had punched him several times in the face and had choked him to the point that he could not breathe. A 3rd Degree Felony Assault Family-House Impede Breath Report was taken for further investigation.
