On Mar. 13, Officers arrested Angela Shavell Morgan (47) in the 2100 block of Bonham St. for an outstanding Felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance Motion to Revoke Probation. Morgan was arrested in May of 2020 for Possession of a Controlled Substance by Paris Police. She was booked without incident.
On Mar. 13, at approximately 0600AM officers received a report of two subjects wearing dark clothing and mask attempting to burglarize vehicles in the 400 block of NE Loop 286. This area has a high incidence of vehicle burglaries. Officers converged on the area checking for the suspects. One officer spotted to suspects matching the callers description in the area of Paris Regional Medical Center. When the suspects observed the officers turning towards them both suspects began fleeing on foot. One of the suspects was apprehended and identified as Ryan Mardy Morse (17). Morse was dressed as the described suspects and admitted to officers that he was looking for vehicles to burglarize. During his post-arrest search, Morse was found to be in possession of narcotics as well as narcotics paraphernalia and tobacco products (illegal for those under 18). Morse was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Evading Arrest. The investigation will continue.
Officers made 18 traffic stops, 7 adult arrest, and answered 118 calls for service for this reporting period.
