On May 31, an officer contacted Theresa Michelle Davidson (42) in the 2700 block of NW 19th St. A warrant check revealed that Perry had an outstanding Parole Warrant. She was arrested on the charge and taken to Lamar County.
On June 2, Officers attempted to make contact with Tywan DeKesh Dawson (45) in the 400 block of E. Provine St. Dawson refused to stop walking and speak with officers. He was then pursued on foot by officers who was attempting to enter a residence in the area. Dawson made contact with Dawson, who resisted being detained by pulling and pushing officers. He was grounded but continued to resist by grabbing at the handcuffs while continuing to resist handcuffing. Officers eventually took Dawson into custody and charged him with Evading Arrest or Detention and Resisting Arrest. It was found that Dawson had prior convictions for Evading arrest.
On June 2, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of SE 47th. Luis Angel Herrera Martinez had been in a confrontation with his girlfriend and his child’s mother. Martinez had arrived at the location with his small child in the vehicle and was intoxicated. Officers found Martinez to have crashed into a tree in the area and to be intoxicated. Martinez refused to cooperate with officers. He was arrested for DWI with a child in the vehicle. Martinez resisted being detained and had to be forcibly taken into custody. He was charged with the DWI charge as well as Resisting Arrest.
On June 2, Officers made contact with Gevoni Dashan Reyes (19) in the 500 block of SE 22nd Street. Reyes was known to have outstanding warrants for Aggravated Robbery. This incident occurred in the Meadowview Apartments in the 500 block of Deshong Dr. on May 8, 2024. Reyes had entered an apartment and robbed individuals at gunpoint and had then fired a shot in the direction of the victims. Reyes was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Robbery X 2 and a County Warrant for Theft over $30.000 but less than $150,000.00.
On June 1, Officers were notified of a Theft in the 3800 block of Smallwood Road. The victim provided video evidence of the theft of numerus tools from a job site. The patrol officer working the incident was able to locate the suspect a short while later through follow up and recovered the stolen tools, approximately 1500.00 worth. The suspect information was obtained and further follow up will be conducted.
On June 2, Officers responded to a Burglary in Progress at a business in the 1600 block of Bonham St. They located a subject matching the description of the individual seen burglarizing the business. Jimmy Ray Lane II (37) was found to have broken out a window of the business. Lane was also found to be criminal trespassed from the location in the past. Lane was found to be under the influence of some substance. He had three prior convictions for Public Intoxication in the past and was charged with Public Intoxication with 3 priors, Criminal Mischief class B, and Criminal Mischief. Lane was arrested without incident.
Officers made 63 traffic stops, 14 adult arrest, and answered 293 calls for service for this reporting period.
