The Cooper ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that, at the June 20, 2023 board meeting, Mrs. Amber Norris was unanimously voted as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Schools.
Norris has most recently served as Assistant Superintendent for the district, where she has successfully and consistently provided leadership for students, staff, and the community.
“Anyone who knows Mrs. Norris, knows she serves with enthusiasm and passion, always striving to list others up, while humbly serving. By actions and by character, Mrs. Norris has proven herself as the best candidate for the district,” said the school in a press release.
The board will now observe the state-required 21-day waiting period before officially approving Norris at the July board meeting, ensuring a smooth transition in time for the new school year.
