On June 17, Officers of the NE Texas Auto Theft Task Force as well as Detectives of the Paris Police Department received information that Tyler Dakota Johnson (30) was in the Paris area driving a vehicle with fictitious plates and that Johnson had outstanding felony warrants. The vehicle containing Johnson was located on N. Main and stopped in the 2500 block of N. Main. Johnson and a passenger, Jerry Dylan Cartwright (27) were detained at that time. It was confirmed that Johnson had outstanding Felony warrants for Parole Violation, Tampering with Electronic Monitoring Device (Cass County); and Burglary of a Building (Cass County) as well as warrants out of other states that would not extradite. During a consensual check of Johnson’s vehicle, drug paraphernalia as well as narcotics were discovered within reach of both occupants of the vehicle. Both were subsequently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Johnson was also charged with Displaying a Fictitious Registration as he had an altered buyers tag on the vehicle he was operating. Both were booked without incident.
On June 17, Officers arrested Trevonta Breondre Clark (29) on an outstanding Parole Violation warrant. He was taken into custody without incident at the Parole Office in the 3900 block of N. Main.
On June 17, a traffic stop for defective equipment in the 100 block of N. Main St. brought officers into contact with Jennie Lee Cooper (56), a passenger in the vehicle. Cooper was found to be in possession of Marijuana as well as other narcotics. Cooper willingly claimed possession of all the contraband. She was arrested for Possession of Marijuana under 2 Oz as well as Possession of Controlled Substance, a Felony. She was processed without issue.
On June 17, Angela Beth Villines (36) was arrested for Parole Violation in the 3900 block of N. Main, The District Parole Office. She was arrested and processed without incident.
On June 17, Officers of the NE Texas Auto Theft Task Force recovered a stolen four wheel ATV which had been taken without permission from the 900 block of FM 38. The ATV had been removed by the suspect and taken to a residence on a nearby county road. The suspect was contacted and the case is ongoing.
Officers made 14 traffic stops, 6 adult arrest, and answered 129 calls for service for this reporting period.
