A local pet owner is urgently seeking the public’s help in finding Moe, an beloved Emotional Support Animal who volunteers his time and love at local nursing homes, who has gone missing.

“Moe is not just your run of the mill tabby cat,” said owner Meagan Mitchell. “He has volunteered his time and love at the local nursing home, he walks on a leash, enjoys the occasional road trip, and will adopt any and everything that we have ever fostered.”

Moe went missing almost two weeks ago in the area of 24th Street SE and there is a $200 reward for finding and returning him.

Mitchell said that while he is not scared of anything, she is afraid for him because of his lack of fear and his ongoing health issues that require medical attention.

“Moe has a chronic illness that causes him to be deathly ill for about 10 days every six months. I am equipped to keep him alive with SubQ fluids and medicine. Being a rescue and a mutt, he could seem like a stray cat to someone or may even look like he’s dying .”

After searching for the past two weeks, calling all the local veterinarians, and putting up flyers, Mitchell has added a $200 reward for anyone who finds and returns Moe to her.

Moe is a gray tabby with a white exclamation point on his nose, white chest, and white paws.

If you have seen or know the whereabouts of Moe, please call Meagan Mitchell at 903-706-8787.
