At 7:33 A.M. on January 26, 2023, Paris Police responded to a disturbance between two vehicles and the victim reported that his estranged wife was following him and had shot at him. Officers looked for the two vehicles but the victim drove to and was met with at the Police Department. Officers observed a bullet hole in the door post just behind the driver’s door. The victim reported that he and his estranged wife had recently separated. After an earlier disturbance between the two, the victim was driving to work and noticed that his estranged wife was following him. To avoid another confrontation, the victim drove towards the Police Department but his estranged wife pointed a pistol at him and then shot at him. The suspect, 37 year old Patricsh Annette Titus, was located in Clarksville, Texas and arrested. She was transferred back to Paris and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was later placed in the Lamar County Jail. No one was injured in the altercation.
Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of NE 16th St at 10:09 A.M. on January 26, 2023. Amanda Gail Gilbert, 30, was found to have an outstanding parole violation warrant. Gilbert is currently on parole for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle conviction. Gilbert was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police met with the victim of a fraud in the Police Department lobby at 1:06 P.M. on January 26, 2023. The victim reported that they had received a phone call from an employee at Wal-Mart who advised the victim that a small zippered pouch had been located that had their identification information inside. The victim retrieved the case and found that there were six pieces of identification that belonged to them and a family member. The victim reported that the zippered pouch does not belong to them and has no idea as to how the items would have been placed in the zippered pouch. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of NE 20th St at 12:40 A.M. on January 27, 2023. It was reported that 45 year old Calvin Wade Anderson, of Paris, came to this residence and demanded to speak with his wife. Anderson had a pistol and pointed it at the front door. He then fired a round off into the ground before he left. While speaking with the victim, Anderson returned to the scene. He admitted to the officers that he had fired the pistol during the altercation. Anderson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail. No injuries were reported in the incident.
