Friday, December 17, 2021 at 9:20am; Officer conducted a welfare check on subject identified as Michael Harrington in the 3000 Block of NE Loop 286, who was asleep in a vehicle. Subject admitted to having marijuana inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the find of a clear Ziploc style baggie containing a crystal like substance, testing positive for methamphetamine. Harrington was charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces and Manufacture Delivery Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, less than 4 grams.
Friday, December 17, 2021 at 3:38pm; Officer was dispatched to a shots fired call in the 600 block of Bonham Street. Contact was made with victims, who advised gunshots were heard and their truck had been hit by a bullet. Initial investigation by detectives lead to the arrest of Courtney Tremayne Franklin; charging him with Deadly Conduct-Discharge Firearm, Theft of Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon. The investigation is continuing.
Friday, December 17, 2021 at 4:20pm; Officer was dispatched to a fraud complaint in the police lobby. Victim believes a family member stole her debit card and made 15 unauthorized charges to her account.
Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:10am; Officer initiated a traffic stop for expired registration in the 200 block of NE 2nd Street. Driver Rodney Skylar Allen was determined to be in possession of a small Ziploc style baggie containing numerous round, blue pills and a separate zipped pouch containing methamphetamine; charging him with Possession Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 less than 28 grams and Possession Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram.
Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 4:23pm; Officer was patrolling in the 500 block of Graham Street and initiated a traffic stop in the 700 block for a passenger not wearing a seatbelt. Driver Jamie Dianne Black was found to be in possession of a small blue baggie containing a clear rock-like substance, which field tested positive for methamphetamine; charging her with Possession Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram.
Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 1:18pm; Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of NE 41st Street in reference to a criminal trespass call. Victim wanted a subject removed from the residence. Victim also reported to have been chocked, resulting in a felony offense of Assault Impeding Breath. Jalen Hicks was determined to have a felony Parole Violation Warrant and he was additionally charged with Resist Arrest Search while been taken into custody.
From Friday, December 17, 2021 through Sunday, December 19, 2021; the Paris Police Department responded to 235 calls for service and arrested 16 adult persons.
