Charles William “Bill” Whipkey Sr., 62, of Arthur City, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at his home.
Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Bill, the son of Charles L. Whipkey and Dorothy Wolfe Whipkey, was born April 23, 1962, in Castro Valley, CA. He graduated from Barstow High School. Bill’s career as a truck driver spanned 45 years. He was a caring and loving person with a heart of gold. He went beyond the call to help family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kim Whipkey, on March 30, 2012.
Survivors include three sons, Charles William “Bill” Whipkey Jr. (Angie), Andrew Whipkey (Jessi) and Phillip Whipkey (Mellissa), his grandchildren who were the light of his life, Ollivia Stiles, Issiah Stiles, Anderson Whipkey, Natasha Whipkey, Kalem Whipkey, Benjamin Hardgrove, Jett Ramsey, Maddox Whipkey, Kimberlee Whipkey who will in arrive in June 2025, Kaidence Whipkey, and Levi Whipkey, his companion, Debra Blevins, his mother-in-law, Joyce Cox, and two sisters, Star Ott and Kim Pinneo (Mark) along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
