On Aug. 26, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the 2900 block of NE Loop 286 due to an equipment violation. The driver entered traffic on the NE Loop and proceeded westbound at approximately 45-50 mph. The driver, identified as Christian Thomas Chalupa (19) then stopped in the 2500 block of N. Main at a station parking lot. He was approached, removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest for Evading Arrest With a Motor Vehicle. Chalupa claimed that he did not know the officers were attempting to stop his vehicle even though they followed him with all emergency lights and siren activated. He was processed without further incident.
Officers made 17 traffic stops, 1 adult arrest, and answered 111 calls for service for this reporting period.
