Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 7:48am: During a search warrant in the 200 block of NW 13th Street; Paris Officers and Paris Detectives made two felony arrest. 28-Year-Old Jacky Daniel McCool of Paris was booked into the Paris Jail to an outstanding Possession of a Controlled Substance Warrant. 39-Year-Old Timothy Jermaine Sims of Paris was booked for an Outstanding Felony-Motion to Revoke-Possession of a Controlled Substance Warrant issued of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office. During a search of Sims, a clear plastic baggie of methamphetamine was located in his jeans pocket; adding a new Possession of a Controlled Substance-State Jail Felony Charge.
Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 12:39pm: A victim reported to a Paris Officer that she was charged for a Domino’s pizza that she did not order or eat. An employee from a restaurant in the 3300 block of Lamar Avenue wrote the victim’s card information down from a prior drive-thru order and later the suspect used the victim’s card information to purchase a Domino’s pepperoni pizza for her-suspect’s- lunch. A Felony Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse Offense will be further investigation.
Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 1:24pm: Paris Detectives and Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies placed 65-Year-Old William Gregory Green of Paris under arrest in the 3700 block of Pine Mill Road for a Parole Violation Warrant. Upon searing Green; he was found in possession of a crystal like substance, testing positive Methamphetamine; charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked into the Paris Jail.
Friday, April 7, 2023 at 3:45am: Paris Officers and Detectives are investigating a “Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm”, occurring in the 2900 block of Bonham Street, after a victim reported being awaken from her sleep from the sound of a loud bang and perceived “knock” at her door. She heard a vehicle driving off. A window and a porch light cover were damaged. Bullet fragments and bullet holes were located. The victim was not injured.
Friday, April 7, 2023 at 12:10pm: During an argument, in the 1200 block of SE 15th Street; 33-Year-Old Bretney Lechel Marsh of Paris stabbed her boyfriend in his left arm. The victim initially refused EMS and passed out while speaking with a Paris Officer. Marsh claimed self-defense and was booked into the Paris Jail for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Family Household Member.
Friday, April 7, 2023 at 1:06pm: An individual mowing a grassy area behind a church in the 1100 block of West W Henderson Street noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the woods. A Paris Officer arrived on scene; ran the tag and discovered that the 2021 Nissan Rouge was reported stolen out of Hugo Oklahoma PD on March 27, 2023. The owner and the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force was notified.
Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 9:53pm: While on patrol in near the 1000 block of West Houston Street; a Paris Officer made contact with a male walking along the roadway. 35-Year-Old Jacob Wayne Wilson of Paris was identified and taken into custody on any Outstanding Felony Motion To Revoke-Possession of a Controlled Substance Warrant out of the Lamar
County Sheriff’s Office.
Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 1:07am: Paris Officers responded to a disturbance in the 2500 block of Lamar Avenue; wherein a boyfriend had chocked his girlfriend after an argument had started when the girlfriend went through his cell phone while he was asleep. Officers took an Assault Family House Member Impede Breath Report.
Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 4:42pm: Callers into Paris Dispatch and responding Officer heard lots of shots fired in the area of the 600 block of South West 7th Street. The source was located at 1100 block of SW 6th Street. Contact was made with two subjects stating they had been shooting firearms; but believed that it was legal because they were on over 10 acers of private property. The Officer informed the subjects that there is no acreage exception in the City of Paris and that discharge of firearms are prohibited within the city limits of Paris (Paris City Ordinance, 8.05.002 Discharging Firearm).
Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 6:43pm: Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Bonham Street and took three reports. A suspect had chocked his girlfriend; head-butted an Officer and resisted being arrested. Reports of “Assault Family House Member Impede Breath”, “Assault Public Servant” and a “Resist Arrest Search or Transport” were made. Suspect was transported to Paris Regional Health by EMS for other medical concerns.
Thursday, April 6, 2023 through Sunday, April 9, 2023: The Paris Police Department responded to 290 Calls for Service; Arrested 16 adult persons and Made 55 traffic stops.
