On Apr. 11, Officers received a call of a disturbance in the 800 block of SE 20th Street involving a firearm. Officers made contact with several suspects, one of whom was identified as Kenjerrious Trevon Douglas (18). Douglas was found to have outstanding warrants. He was arrested and transported to the Paris Police Department where he was booked on all charges.
On Apr. 11, Officers responded to an assault of the elderly in the 2200 block of Plum St. The 86 year old victim advised he had been shoved by a known family member who had showed up at his house intoxicated. The suspect had pushed the victim down and he had a head injury. Paris EMS was notified and treated the victim on the scene. The victim and a witness at the scene were very vague as to the suspect’s last name, even though the suspect is a family member. The investigation will continue.
On Apr. 11, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of Bonham St. A subject had been cut on the arm by a live-in girlfriend. Paris EMS was treating the subject. Officers arrived and made contact with the girl-friend, who was discovered to be 16 years old. The female told officers that the male subject had been choking her and once she got away he chased her and caught her so she cut him with a kitchen knife. Two were eventually separated by neighbors. The male subject was transported to Paris Regional Medical and the female left with a family member. The investigation will continue.
On Apr. 13, Officers arrested Justin Blake Whitworth (24) in the 600 block of W. Center St. after stopping him for speeding on 7th NW. Whitworth was found to be in possession of over 4 ounces of marijuana. A warrant check revealed that Whitworth had an outstanding warrant for a Parole Violation. He was arrested on the Parole Warrant and charged with Possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces.
On Apr. 13, Officers worked a Criminal Mischief in the 2200 block of East Polk St. A known suspect came to the location and damaged an ex-paramour’s vehicle by striking the window and then intentionally scratching the paint. A witness at the scene positively identified the suspect and had observed the offense. The investigation is ongoing and warrants are expected to be issued.
Officers made 48 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 295 calls for service for this reporting period.
