Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 8:36am: A Paris Detective is investigating an email received from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The email contained information of child pornography being uploaded to the internet.
Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 9:34am: A victim spoke to a Community Service Officer over the telephone; who stated that she had once provided information to Law Enforcement that lead to a male suspect being arrested and charged. The two made eye contact today in the 1300 block of Clarksville Street and the suspect made physical and deadly threatens to the victim. A Retaliation Report was made due to the victim being concerned that the suspect would follow through with his threats.
Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 11:52am: A Paris Officer took a Child Abuse–Neglect False Report in the 3100 block of Pine Mill Road. A mother, eating lunch with her son, told staff that her son stated that his father slapped him in his face last night while he was at his father’s home. The Officer did not observe any signs of abuse or redness to the victim’s face. The father was out of town and the child stayed last night with his (father’s side) grandmother. The mother is being investigated for a false report.
Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 9:25pm: An Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon is being investigate after a Paris Police Officer made a traffic stop in the 700 block of Graham Street for driving a vehicle with a defective light. The driver informed the Officer that he had a firearm in the vehicle and handed the Officer a Ruger LCP. Paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. The driver was not arrested; however the firearm was seized. A Juvenile felony conviction that was stated to have been expunged will need to be determined for accuracy before returning the Ruger.
Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 2:01am: Paris Officer responded to the 1800 block of Pine Bluff Street and arrested 29-Year-Old Wesley Lance Manning of Paris on an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant. Manning stated that he had a meth pipe and a baggie with methamphetamine in his pocket. The items were retrieved and Manning was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and booked into the Paris Jail.
Wednesday, April 12, 2023: The Paris Police Department responded to 63 Calls for Service; Arrested 2 Adult Persons; Made 11 Traffic Stops.
