Three Lamar County seniors recently received $500 scholarships from the Paris Police Officers Association.
Chase Dillard from Chisum ISD, Mandie Posey from North Lamar ISD, and Jacie Anderson from Paris ISD were all honored by the association at the Paris Police Department on June 6.
“They are offered to each school, and there is an application that needs to be completed and returned. The recipients are picked based on multiple factors including but not limited to GPA, extracurricular activities during school, and plans/career choices after high school,” said President of the Paris Police Officers Association Officer Jeff Padier.
Monies raised for the scholarships come from numerous fundraisers throughout the year and also sponsorships.
