Paris Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 200 block of NE 10th St around 4 p.m. yesterday after an officer was flagged down.
“The police officer was flagged down in the 1200 block of Pine Bluff Street and the shooting reportedly took place in the 200 block of NE 10th while the victims were attempting to pick up some belongings,” said Captain Bull.
The suspect, who is still at large, was a known acquaintance of the victims and shot at them multiple times.
However, Paris Chief of Police Bob Hundley said the public is not at risk and this was an intended target, not random.
The Paris Police Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident. One individual had minor injuries (not gunshot wounds) was treated at the scene by Paris EMS.
