Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping after the 13-year old male victim said he the suspect displayed a handgun and told him to “get in the vehicle” after he refused a ride.
Paris police were advised of the attempted kidnapping on July 31 that occurred in the 200 block of Stone Avenue.
After the victim refused a ride from occupants of the vehicle that were known to him, the suspect displayed a handgun and told the victim to get in.
The victim fled on foot.
The investigation is ongoing in coordination with the North Lamar ISD Police Department.
