The Paris Fire Departments dive team helped Fannin County officials recover a stolen vehicle from Lake Coffee Mill, north of Honey Grove, on Monday afternoon.
According to reports, a Ford 1 ton dually pick-up and ski-boat were stolen from FM 824 in Honey Grove sometime after 4 p.m. Sunday.
On Monday, an off-duty TDCJ employee spotted the stolen ski-boat and trailer partially submerged in Lake Coffee Mill and reported it to authorities.
“We were able to use sonar equipment from a fishing boat to find the truck approximately 100-feet from the boat ramp,” said Sgt. Cody Dixon with Fannin County Sheriff’s Office. “We then contacted Paris’ dive team to help recover the vehicle.”
Fannin County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating.
