Following the announcement of the partnership with Brookshire’s and Gatorade (earlier this year), by rallying bottles of Gatorade at local store locations, it’s just about time to hand them out to local first responders.

“Our company is committed to giving back to military heroes and first responders as a show of support and appreciation for their service,” said Brad Brookshire, Chairman, and CEO for Brookshire Grocery Co. said when the company first announced the drive.

“We are very proud to partner with Gatorade to provide some relief to local military heroes and first responders during the hot summer months ahead.”

The Paris Fire Department (PFD) firefighters will be assisting with the collection of the donations and will be at the local Brookshire’s Store at 925 Clarksville St. this Saturday, May 25.

“We are very grateful to assist Brookshire’s in this year’s collection,” said Paris Fire Department  Assistant Chief Thomas McMonigle.

Firefighters will have one of the department’s trucks set up out front so local kids can check it out between the hours of 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

“All kids are welcome to come and say hi, check out the fire truck and take a photo,” continued McMonigle, “this is a great thing that Brookshire’s is doing for our county’s first responders and the Paris Fire Department is happy to help with their mission.”
