An older phone scam has reared its ugly head this morning targeting those who have bonded out of jail.
Some are receiving phone calls from a person reporting that they need to wire money to remain on bond or go to jail,
“This is a scam hitting people who already have enough to worry about,” said Chief Hundley.
“If you happen to be on bond, or are a family member and get a call like this, just ignore it.”
If you are still uncertain, contact the company or person who made your bond.
