North Lamar ISD recently recognized two employees for the care, dedication and positive impact they bring to students and staff each day. Amy Hudson, first grade teacher at Aaron Parker Elementary, and Stefanie Sheridan, secretary at Bailey Success Center, were named recipients of the district’s Heart of a Panther Award.
Hudson was nominated for the way she works hard to meet the individual needs of every child while creating a classroom where students feel cared for and valued. Her patience, flexibility, and commitment to her students truly demonstrate the Heart of a Panther, and she is very deserving of this recognition.
“Amy loves her students unconditionally and tries so hard to make the learning experience a positive one”, says Principal Amber Soliz. “She pushes to find ways to make her students better and to build relationships with them. Despite having a tough day, she is always so encouraging to our team.”
Farmers Bank representative Erik Roddy presented Hudson with a gift card as a token of appreciation for her dedication to North Lamar students.
Sheridan was recognized for the many ways she supports students and staff at Bailey Success Center. Whether assisting students, supporting staff or helping wherever she is needed, Sheridan’s willingness to serve others reflects the qualities celebrated through the Heart of a Panther Award.
“Stefanie goes above and beyond at Bailey Success Center for the kids and others,” said co-worker Chelsie Enochs.
Pierson and Fendley representative Russell Jackson presented Sheridan with a gift card as a token of appreciation for her service and commitment to North Lamar ISD.
The Heart of a Panther Award recognizes North Lamar ISD employees who go above and beyond in their roles and demonstrate the compassion, dedication and Panther spirit that make a difference across the district.
