Tuesday night, North Lamar ISD’s Pantherettes celebrated their head coach, Brittney Tisdell, on her 100th win as a head coach. Tuesday’s win makes her 30th win as a Pantherette coach.
In her 12th year of coaching, Tisdell has a reputation of motivating her players. She began her coaching career at Cooper ISD before moving to Paris High School. Her first head coach position was at Corsicana Mildred where she took the team from a five-win season to winning 16 games, advancing to the playoffs and picked to win district the following year.
Tisdell then took the head position at Sulphur Springs, making playoffs all three years and winning district once. In the fall of 2021 she made the move to North Lamar ISD, where she coached the Pantherettes to a winning season with a record of 23-9 overall. At the end of 2021-22 basketball season, North Lamar Pantherettes became the bi-district champs for the first time in six years.
“I’m very thankful for the athletes that have played for me and allowed me to meet this milestone. I wouldn’t be here without them.” says Tisdell.
