During North Lamar ISD’s School Board meeting Monday night, a presentation was made to the 2018 Teachers of the Year.
Board member Sheila Daughtrey, left, recently won a $1,000 scholarship from the Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (FBFCU) Retirement Program for School Employees and wanted to pass it on to the six teachers who were nominated by their campuses last May.
Each received $175 to be used for classroom materials and supplies.
With Daughtrey are Karen Johnson from Bailey Intermediate, Elementary Teacher of the Year Kristen Blanton from Higgins Elementary, Secondary Teacher of the YearJanie Sharrock from Stone Middle School, Kim Johnson from Aaron Parker Elementary, Mark Caldwell from Everett Elementary, and Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams. Unable to attend was Kendal Kirk from North Lamar High School.
