Each year Paris Junior College holds a Veteran’s Day Ceremony that begins in the DeShong Chapel and moves outside to the PJC Veterans Memorial, just north of the Administration building. The memorial site honors PJC students who gave their lives in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. This year’s ceremony will be held on Monday, Nov. 11 at 11:00 a.m.
“Please join us as we recognize the Veterans that help make both our community and our college a place to put down roots and grow, especially during the PJC Centennial celebrations,” said PJC Veterans Specialist Matthew Dillon. “And, of course, stop by for some cake in the Alford Center!”
During the ceremony, “The Street Sounds to the Soldiers’ Tread,” will be read and the names of students who lost their lives in World War II, Korea and Vietnam are read aloud.
