Students from North Lamar High School traveled to Plano East Senior High School on February 23 to compete in the Solo and Ensemble contest. Over 2,000 students from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex competed in the contest.
North Lamar solo winners earning ones (superior rating) are Gage Jackson, Kaylee Kent, Isla Tabor, Will Culbertson, Cade Collard and Dylan Halliday.
Ensembles earning ones are the clarinet trio of Isla Tabor, Hannah Semanekand Bonnie Dong; the brass quintet of Jerron Newberry, Miguel Rosas, Kloe Kueckelhan, Colton Wilson and Dylan Halliday; and the percussion quartet ofPayton Buck, Alexis Jensen, Taylor Pickering and Garrett Jones.
Directors for the NLHS Band are Randy Jones, Jason R. Smith and Justin Caldwell.
