On Tuesday, May 15th, Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass, Paris Police Department Chief Bob Hundley and law enforcement officials from Lamar County came together for the Peace Officer Memorial Wreath Laying at the Lamar County Courthouse.
In 1962 President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officer Memorial Day. Those in attendance paid respect to the fallen officers of Lamar County and the Nation.
