Jesse W. Sanders, 72, of Blossom, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at his home following a long, courageous battle with Parkinson Disease, surrounded by his family.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3rd, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Bolton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2nd at the funeral home.
Mr. Sanders, the son of Labon Aaron & Edna Hutchinson Sanders, was born Oct. 18, 1945, in Norman, OK.
He worked for the Imperial Irrigation District in California and was a reserve sheriff’s deputy and a policeman for the city of Imperial, California.
Jesse and his family moved to Paris in 1978. He worked at Pat Mayse Lake for the Corp of Engineers, Wal-Mart, and Sirloin Stockade. He last worked at Kimberly-Clark where he was one of the original 50 people hired in 1983. He retired in 2000, following 18 years with the company.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the casino. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. Jesse could always tell a tall tale and loved to joke.
If there was anything he was better at than fishing, it was making people laugh and feeling loved. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Lois Phillips & husband Don, Dorothy Sanders, Leona Tripplett & husband Rodney, Betty Willhite & husband Charles and Pat Staggs & husband Jim, five brothers, Johnny Sanders & wife Daphne, Junior Sanders & wife Helen, Leroy Sanders, Bob Sanders and Jim Sanders & wife Glenda.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Sanders, whom he married on June 10, 1967, building fifty years of family and memories, a son, Jesse (Jdub) Sanders of Faught, a daughter, Sheila Ensey & husband Gary of Paris, grandchildren, Hunter Sanders, Shelbi McKnight, Allison Ensey and Jake Ensey, a great grandson, Brady Cole Sanders, along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
