Melissa Kay Miller went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2023. Melissa was born on April 11, 1961 in Weatherford, Texas to Melba and Charles Williams. She married the love of her life, Jeff David Miller, on September 25, 1982. Together they have three children, Gus, Codie Lynne, and Jessica.

Melissa graduated from Strawn High School in 1979. She had numerous hobbies throughout her life including archery, bowling, crafting, and quilting, but most of all she loved being with her family and finding ways to make the world around her better. Melissa was a selfless caregiver to all of those lucky enough to know her. She spent many years as a dedicated volunteer in Paris ISD schools impacting countless students along the way. She was most proud of the work she did at Justiss Elementary, fundraising to have a new playground built, and supporting the Paris High School band fixing uniforms and manning the concession stand. She was known as “Mrs. Miller” to many students who she loved to greet with a hug long after they had left school.

Melissa was welcomed into the arms of her husband of forty-one years, son Gus, and countless other family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Melba and Charles, siblings Sherrie, Charles, Mike, and Rodney, daughter Codie Dreher and son-in-law Deric, daughter Jessica Alsip and son-in-law Chris, four grandchildren David, Corbin, Harper, and Sophia, and countless other family and friends. She made the world a better place by loving selflessly and giving what she could of her time to impact others. Her family and friends intend to continue her legacy and positively impact the world around them however they can.

Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
