A man wanted out of Delta County for the theft of a tractor, bush hog loader and wood chipper, has been arrest after turning himself in on Jan. 30, 2024.
On Tuesday morning, 29-year old Ethan Taylor turned himself in to Delta County Jail, said Delta County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 2 p.m. on Jan. 9, a theft of a trailer and scrap metal was reported in the 200 block of W. Waco.
The owner of the property stated that the last time he saw the trailer in the back of the property was on Jan. 4.
Approximately a week later, the suspect’s vehicle was caught on camera returning to the property to steal more items from inside a shed.
The new information led deputies positively identify the vehicle and the suspect.
On Jan. 22, the stolen tractor was posted on social media and listed for sale out of the Kemp, Texas, area which led deputies to recovering the stolen tractor.
The next day, Jan. 27, officials received a information about the location of the stole wood chipper, which was sold to a Kaufman County resident, and officials were able to successfully recover it.
With a warrant out for his arrest, several days later Taylor turned himself in.
