The city of Paris shared the schedule of events for the upcoming Festival of Pumpkins, which begins at 9 a.m. on Oct. 22, featuring many contests and several attractions for a fun-filled day.
Starting at 9 a.m., when the festival begins, there will be several vendors serving up food, crafts and more. There will also be live music playing, alongside contests and attractions such as free train rides, and kids games. The contests will offer cash prizes.
From 9-10 a.m., music on main stage will feature josh Gerling Student Acoustic Jam. From 10-11 a.m., Colton Sanders will take to the main stage, and 12:30-1:30 p.m., the duo act, The Kirbys will be on main stage. Wes Jeans Band will be on stage from 2-3:30 p.m., and Rags Revival will perform from 4-5 p.m.
From 9-10 a.m., registration for the decorated pumpkins contest will be open. Voting for favorite decorated pumpkins begins at 10 a.m., and pumpkins will be located by the clock in Downtown Paris on the S.E. side of the fountain. Pumpkin decorating winners will be announced at 1:45 p.m. on Main Stage.
Lamar County Humane Association Pet Look-a-Like contest and pageant will open and registration will be on Clarksville street. LCHA’s contest will begin at 10:45 a.m., and registration will be from 10-10:30 a.m.
The Festival of Pumpkin’s costume contest registration will be at Main Street’s tent on East Plaza. Registration ends 10 minutes before each contest.
Main Street’s costume contest for 0-3 years of age will begin at 11 a.m., 4-5’s costume contest begins at 11:15 a.m., 6-8 begins at 11:45 a.m. and 9-12 year olds’ begins at 12:10 p.m.
