Lowell Winston Whitley, 80 of Blossom, passed away December 8,2025.
He was born in Blossom, Texas on January 5, 1945 to Dick and Adell Lott Whitley.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on a later date.
Lowell graduated from Blossom High School in 1963. He spent many years as a truck driver for Big Tex Feed. He also worked as a grave digger for many years. His hobbies were his beautiful calligraphy, writing, traveling back roads, listening to or watching the Dallas Cowboys. He also had a vast knowledge of plants, trees and flowers. He loved gospel music and loved quotes.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet Whitley Hammond, Jenny Langston and husband Brad, Amy Lester, Chrystal Perry and husband Dennis; brother, Donnie Whitley; sisters, Marsha Thomas, Wanda Whitley, Kay Bowerman; grandchildren, Chris, Ryan, Bryan, Kacey, Jerica, Logan, Allison, Amy Maries, Cayla, Garrett, Nathan, Emily, Jaden, Katelyn, Meranda, Jessie; 19 great-grandchildren; two special people that meant a lot to him, Mike and Kayla.
She was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lowell Anthony Whitley; sister, Dixie Lewis; brothers, Charlie Whitley, Tommy Whitley.
