Local mom and Christian children’s book author, Charlie Rose, has released her second book, What is the Church? —a fun and accessible resource designed to help kids understand the purpose and beauty of the Church without needing a seminary degree.
“We’ve all heard it ‘but why do we have to go to church?’ – often asked while still in pajamas minutes before leaving Sunday service,” said Rose. “This new book offers parents, teachers, and ministry leaders a way to answer that question with clarity, grace, and a little but of humor.”
Rather than diving into complex doctrine with fancy theological terms, What is the Church? introduces young readers to the core functions and mission of the Church in a kid-friendly, engaging way.
Through vibrant illustrations and simple language, children will learn that the church:
- Serves the Lord through structure and honor
- Shares the gospel with the world.
- Supervises and administers the sacraments
- Sharpens one another through spiritual gifts
- Sets the Bible apart as the authoritative Word of God…all for the glory of God
Rose is a local Christian author, Bible teacher, wife and mother of three with a passion for making complex theological truths accessible to young hearts and minds.
She is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and Dallas Theological Seminary. She released her first book, “What is the Bible?” in 2022.
“Whether you’re a parent seeking spiritual tools for your home, a Sunday school teacher looking for biblical resources, or simply someone who loves theology for tiny humans, this book will bless your bookshelf and your heart.”
