Little Dribblers has made a triumphant return to North Lamar, thanks to the dedication of Austin Parson and RaeAnn Ford, who worked alongside NLHS Panther basketball head coach, Jamie Allen, and NLHS Pantherette basketball coach, Brittney Tisdell, to bring back the beloved program.
This season, our Panther Little Dribblers features seven teams of 3rd and 4th-grade boys and five teams of 5th and 6th-grade boys, all gearing up for an exciting finish with a double-elimination tournament on February 8.
Tuesday night, before the North Lamar vs. Bonham varsity basketball game, Panther Little Dribblers players had a special moment with the NLHS varsity boy’s basketball team, receiving autographed mini basketballs from the players. Following the autograph session, the young athletes lined up to form a tunnel for the varsity players, creating an unforgettable entrance as they took the court.
At halftime, Little Dribblers coordinator Austin Parson introduced each team and player, giving them a well-deserved moment of recognition in front of the crowd.
The return of Little Dribblers has been a fantastic addition to North Lamar, reinforcing a strong basketball tradition and fostering excitement for the sport at a young age. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—Little Dribblers Pantherettes will make their debut on February 15, led by coordinator and teacher RaeAnn Ford and NLHS Varsity Pantherette basketball coach Brittney Tisdell.
With such strong leadership and community support, Little Dribblers is back and stronger than ever, ensuring that the next generation of Panthers continues to develop a love for the game.
